cheating dilemma/ issue

In 10th grade i let my friend borrow my math homework and she got caught copying off it. We both ended up going to see our counselor who stated that we were having a conference warning. usually, if you get caught cheating you have to meet with your Assistant Principal and sign some contract thing but neither of us were called up to with our Assistant Principal so we thought we were off the hook. Time passes and I join NHS, which really emphasizes non-cheating etc. I am a senior now and I became President of NHS. Everything was fine until this month when my advisor called me up and told me that I'm getting booted b/c of the cheating thing two years ago. I am seriously confused bc I was told by my counselor that it wouldn't go into the records but when I went to go see my counselor, he told me that the cheating thing is handled by my Assistant Principal. Right now, I am seriously scared. I've already been accepted to my colleges and I have no idea how this is going to affect me. Is there a chance this dilemma might lead to me getting kicked out?

CHEATER!

ull burn in hell! JK!

Well… ouch, IDK… Im not familiar with the subject man

wow
punished for letting ppl copy hw? O.o thats pretty harsh.
the only advice I can give you right now it decline politely when asked about the incident two years ago and proclaim that it has never happened…or admit your sins and go be emo in a dark closet…

Yes, clearly the better option is to not punish people for cheating

Yeah, but a friend copying your math homework once in your life 2 years ago is not a big deal at all. It’s not like OP was cheating. And even if OP were copying, copying isn’t really that bad. It’s not cheating on a test or an essay, it’s not plagiarism. I mean, it’s copying down a couple of math problems or a Latin translation or some vocab. People generally only copy mindless busywork that teachers shouldn’t have assigned in the first place.

BTW, I do not and have never copied.

“BTW, I do not and have never copied”

I’m SURE that relates to the OP’s issue. No one gives a **** if you never copied or not.

Anyways, OP, complain, complain, complain. That is total BS on your schools part. Get your parents, and complain. Sue if you have to because not being president of NHS because of you letting someone copy off you 2 YEARS AGO is a pretty big deal.
