Hey everyone,
I was curious if anybody had an interesting personal story about cheating -- maybe how you got caught or what you were caught with, what the penalty was, stuff like that. I know some institutions (like Western University, where I go) use detection software like Turn It In while others don't bother. So I was just curious if anyone had an interesting experience with that. You can PM me if you'd prefer. Thanks!

My older brother told me about a time when a group of guys cheated (group cheating is the best lol). What they did was if one of them needed help on a multiple choice question, they would just raise their hand and say something like “Sir, i have a question about number 19”.

Someone else in that cheating group would go up to the sharpener and do a number of spins depending on the answer. So if the answer was C, the guy would do three spins.

Bro said the prof found out because they got careless and it became obvious.

Cheating stories are not interesting, and certainly shouldn’t be emulated. If you cheat, you are risking academic probation, failure of the course, suspension, difficulty in the future with grad school admissions, or if you ever plan on going to law school. Students who risk it are very foolish.

Funniest story, but happened in grade 7: Student busted for cheating 30 seconds into start of test. Why? Caught talking about “suspicious material” with person beside her.

When your teacher says to stop talking, stop talking!
