Cheating

Markus I say give the names of both the girls to them. They will see the exact same things on their papers (including their wrong answers very important). Tell them that during the test you finished early and say them cheating. Make it clear that those people (by their first and last names) where cheating during the test. Explain how they where close to each other and everything.

Dude screw everyone who says '“tattle tale” or whatever. Where not in kindergarten. So if you saw someone steal something from a friend would you not tell that friend?

How I said before make it clear you where not cheating and no one else except those two girls. They deserve to get their scores invalidated anyway. They’ll probably compare their test and notice how similar they are if they cheated.

Wowwww, honestly OP? Really?? Are we in freaking kindergarten? Do we tattle on everyone?? GROW UP!! How in the world would them doing good affect you!!! It’s people like you that I just can’t stand. Just…why??? Do you feel good inside? Is that it? You did your job and you’re a good person with integrity? You just screwed over two people that NEVER BOTHERED YOU, that will NEVER AFFECT YOU.

You sir, are an ass hole. Let them get screwed over later in life, and don’t be the ass that feels like he is saving the world from the epidemic of cheating. Cheaters will always be around, plain and simple, so stop being a freaking goody-two-shoes, suck it up, and realize that LIFE ISN’T FAIR.

And as if you haven’t cheated EVER in you’re pathetic life.

I doubt everyone’s scores will be invalidated. As collegeguz says, they’ll probably check the girls scores anyways and realize that they are almost identical. However, they probably aren’t stupid, so they might have changed some of their answers to differ from one another.

I personally I don’t care when people with no academic focus cheat, they are just trying to get a C so they don’t have to take it again or just to stay on the sports team. However, when people try cheating on exams and etc. to get into Harvard/[said university] then it kind of irks me.

I say good job reporting them. However, I would’ve reported it to my Ap Coordinator rather than the office. Maybe because my AP Coordinator is the kind of person who would do something about it. But nonetheless markus10, you shouldn’t be blamed or scolded at for doing this. Better for those girls to learn now then to learn in college and get kicked out.

Yes, there is a high chance CollegeBoard will invalidate everybody’s test scores from your school now that you have reported the cheaters. Yes, it has happened before.

Google “College Board Cancels One School’s AP Scores After Cheating Scandal” and it should be the first link. It talks about how all 690 AP scores at a high school were invalidated.

Cheating on AP tests is not a good idea, but reporting events of cheating can definitely place you and many others in even more jeopardy than if you were to ignore it.

Wow…is this post serious? The kids really have no affect on you. Eventually, cheating will catch up to them, but your first post, OP, doesnt make me very sympathetic toward you. Just leave them be and mind your own business. Btw…cheating on a test and stealing are two very different things. In the former, the only person being hurt is the cheator whereas in the latter, the loser is not solely the thief.

Most of my friends cheat. Yes I find it annoying but I would NEVER report it to anyone. Its none of my business and I def. wouldn’t want to get involved with the Principal, AP Coordinator, etc over it. So many people cheat there is just no way of getting around it.

^^ Exactly! Basically the same as my post! Incredible how much of an ass this guy is, but the BIGGER problem is that he thinks highly of himself after reporting them. What a prick.

lol, you guys sound like advocates of cheating. What OP did was right.

It may not be a good idea to report them if you think the proctor was bad. Then they may rethink every test that guy proctored. Its a free world, if you want to report someone you can. The world can cheat any damn time they want, but during an AP that’s irresponsible. The truth is that those girls should of never been cheating to begin with! I hate people who try to act smart and then cheat epically in these type of test and say its not a big deal. There’s a big difference between copying someones homework and cheating on a major college test.

Now when you think about it, if you did good and had other AP test, reporting would not be that great of an idea. I would just ignore the cheating. There is always that chance of scores getting canceled.

If you did good just leave it alone. There’s a chance you could mess everything up big time or make things like .0001% better. Its up to you to do what you want.

Now no one here can say that cheating on an AP test is right. Your a true idiot if you think that’s just fine and acceptable to cheat. But again reporting it may of not been the smartest idea when you look into everything…

XD, some of you guys need to calm down. I personally would not have reported the cheating but I don’t think OP reporting this incident makes him an ass or a prick either. He obviously got tired of these 2 girls cheating and did what he thought was right.

Yes, there is a high chance CollegeBoard will invalidate everybody’s test scores from your school now that you have reported the cheaters. Yes, it has happened before.

Search up the article “College Board Cancels One School’s AP Scores After Cheating Scandal”; it should be the first link. It reports on how all 690 AP scores at a high school were invalidated.

Cheating on AP tests is not a good idea, but reporting events of cheating can definitely place you and many others in even more jeopardy than if you were to ignore it.

^^100% agreed

sigh…I saw some of my friends cheating too actually because the room is so crowded that they sat next to each other.

He had no business to report them! He is not the cheating police, he is some little high school boy who wants to feel important and tell on the little cheaters. I am in no way advocating cheating, but I am criticizing all the pretentious, seemingly full of integrity, kids that love to tell on others. Learn that life isn’t fair and move on. Society doesn’t need people like you tattling on something that affects merely two people. Grow up.

Honestly this issue just bugs me. Sorry if I come over as overbearing.

The point of this all is that people are cheating. What if we all reported cheating going on? Test would be curved if we got like 100 people with 5’s cheating. Anyway point is that THEY WHERE CHEATING when they weren’t suppose to be cheating. Its their own fault. No one brought it upon themselves except themselves. OP has the right to do what he want’s. In the beginning college board instructions where to report anyone cheating.

He should just know that their scores may get invalidated if its thought that more people where cheating, which I doubt. Most likely they will see the two girls test and compare them really hard.

OP is an ****** bag. /end thread

^^… and they world would just be a happier and safer place once they get caught right? And there will be celebration and drinks to go around?

^ agree.

^ So if someone took money from your wallet and I (or your friend) saw it, it would be in our best interest NOT to tell you/teachers/authorities? I mean, after all, its NOT MY BUSINESS!

Life isn’t fair, but gaining an unfair advantage (even if both girls are morons) is NOT right. CB clearly states that, and I’m sure your schools’ academic policy has something on this, too. Hell, they have it in college, so you better get used to it.

What you said was absurd… this whole don’t ask, don’t tell is plain stupid. I support the OP fully.

In a class where all the grades are curved and you know for certain that someone took the answer key out or stole a copy of the exam, *would you REALLY just sit there? * In a world with limited resources and large amounts of competition, you can’t afford to “let them go”. While an AP test may not may not screw you directly, not everything in life will be like this. Assume you were royally screwed (someone taking your job, taking credit for your report, etc), I doubt you’d you would just sit there because life isn’t fair.

OP is friendless, collegeguz has no clue what he’s talking about, other people defending OP have no friends and have no clue as to what they’re saying. /end thread

Fixed it a little

Did some of you have personal experiences with this subject to elicit such strong responses?
