<p>those were the pictures of the proposed site, meaning what it looked like before the school was there</p>

<p>I was reading an article earlier, and it said that UC Merced's enrollment goal for Fall '07 quarter was 2000 total students, but will probably not reach that amount. I know they are above 1500 students right now. That student population is about the size of a high school. They are having trouble attracting students. If the campus was situated in a more desirable area, for instance being close to the ocean, it would be easier to attract students. So there location is a big reason why enrollment numbers will continue to be slow for some time.</p>
