tear OP. Like 4 real, cry me a frigin' river. You act like the rest of us aren't in your same predicament stressing over apps and all

dang
i think the stress is making people vicious
hahahaha

Thanks amb3r

Whats up with people feeling wronged when someone else hints at a little emotional stress. I KNOW everyone is in my position, I just like to express myself. I still don't know why I'm bothering applying. I'll think twice next time I log onto CC. Thanks

Bottom line: I am not sending it, thanks everyone who watched

On a separate note, I don't feel like making another thread, and I'm not bragging, so please, no one go all out on me,

Is a 600 point increase from one SAT test date to the next, something that holds a lot of weight? And do they know if you used a company or not, I didn't?

from what to what?

Of course they won't know whether anybody used a company or any other kind of tutor or preparation. How would they? Nobody is silly enough to self report "Paid $10k for private SAT coach"........ That's nice that you made the increase by yourself but colleges will not be able to differentiate between you and somebody who took a lot of classes to get the same increase.

It doesn't matter that you achieved a 600 pt increase or a 2400 point increase. Colleges consider your final scores. If you are currently at a 2240 and began with a 1640, and another student tested and got a 2240, you do not have any advantage over that student just because you increased your score by a lot. In fact, if Harvard sees a score like 1640 on your application, even if it is not your highest score, that is going to raise a LOT of eyebrows.

I think you are taking the college admissions process the complete wrong way. It seems to me that you understand that your chance at Harvard is not good, so you are trying to find any way to set yourself apart from a pack of prodigies and geniuses. The problem is that all the ways you are thinking of are not ways to set yourself apart (except perhaps in a bad way.) Since your app to Harvard seems to be in the spirit of "what the hell, maybe I'll get lucky", don't worry too much about it, because that will only hurt your chances at OTHER schools that you could be devoting more time to (unless Harvard is your last app). Do your best, send it in, and then spend more energy on schools that are closer to matches for you.

Thanks amb3r, that seems right, we'll just have to see
Thanks everyone

. .

Please, I ask you not to disrespect my work. I don't like fighting with people, especially not online, I'm being friendly, so the whole P.O.S thing will not fly.

please
stop the fighting and disrespecting

....................

nretni, are you an a-hole in real life, too, or only on CC?

dang
i hope things dont get dirty

smart move.

Thank you nretni

And to answer your question, amber: Yes. Why yes I am. But there is a difference between truthful sarcasm, and being an as$hole.

I feel sorry for this guy.. everybody on CC now knows what he looks like, and he lost his anonymity by posting the video.

..which everybody hates.

:(

Your posts were not "truthfully sarcastic." I remember you calling the video a P.O.S. If you were being sarcastic, you would have called it a work of art. Do you even know what sarcasm is? Or are you just annoyed at yourself to have conceded to reason, so feel that you have to make one final smart-a** retort and go out with a bang?

For the OP, personally I'd take the video down if I were you, just so that you can preserve your anonymity.

Heh, I just actually watched the whole video. Dude, you get soo nervous around 1:30, you start rocking your body and kinda swallowing the words. Could have been better were it improvised, not memorized and then stumbled over.

On another note, if you were going to send a video, you should have done what the chick from Legally Blonde did ;)

Hahahahahaha wow. Yes, to every comment. I am a loser. I do not know what sarcasm is. I love fighting on the internet. And you are probably really hot in real life.
