Cheer up people!!!!

What is up with all the complainers complaining about how they got rejected to UCLA and UCB? They are just names for heavens sake. People have given these two universities so much attention that they have become the Mecca of every college students academia. Quite frankly, you should be happy about what university you got into. The reason you got into... say UCSD or UCI is because they liked you for who you are. What is the reason behind complaining and b****** about a university that never even gave you a chance? Life is too short to be crying and lamenting over useless things. UCB and UCLA and just names... and you will get superior education no matter what university you get accepted into. Many people would die to get into UCSD or UCI or UCD... it saddens me that people don't don't take advantage of what they have. You don't what you have until its gone..... CHEER UP!!!!!

The most surprising conception of humanity is Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never goig to die; and then dies having never really lived. - Dalai Lama

Although your intentions may be good, you should understand the positions many of these people are coming from. Rejection is difficult, and there is no shortage of applicants that have dedicated a great deal of their lives into shooting for these top-tiered schools. And to be told “we regret to inform you…” sucks big time. Eventually they’ll get over it but it certainly does not help when they’re told to. Not saying you are, but your tone may seem condescending to some hard-hit people who weren’t accepted. The best thing to do is to leave this issue alone because the only way it can be resolved is when the individual finds his or her own peace with the results.
