I'm applying EDII to Vandy and will do just about anything to get in.
I've cheered competitively on a national level for practically my whole life. I wasn't originally going to cheer in college but one of my friends suggested talking to the coach could increases my chances of getting in. What do you guys think?

Well cheerleading isn’t considered a varsity sport is it? I’ve had the argument many times and I know it is a competitive sport but if it is not Varsity its just another extracurricular sadly.

Yeah, I know that much I just didn’t know if I told them “hey i’ll cheer for you” if that could help me at all

Its possible, i stressed my sailing which isn’t a varsity sport. I think just show you are passionate about it in your application and they will assume you will continue doing it. But if the coach can’t recruit then they can’t help much, but any little thing may help so might as well.

I would love to know some more about this too. I am also applying ED2 and I also do allstar cheerleading. I really want to cheer at Vandy next year.

No, the coach can’t help you get in. (I’m a former Vandy cheerleader.)

thank you karabee! That saves me a lot of time and effort
