2) acid-base extraction
3) he gives you a molecule, then the m/z of some fragments and asks you to draw em
3) figuring out deg. of unsaturation…then will ask something like "give me 3 ways i can have a molecule with 4 degrees of unsat. (ie two double bonds and a triple bond; phenyl group; two triple bonds; etc)
4) determining molecular formula from mass spec
5) identifying functional groups from IR
6) serial dilution question followed by beer’s law question (ie i dilute this solution a bunch of times and get this absorbance…whats the extinction coefficient)
7) limiting reagents</p>
<p>also know what each reagent does in all experiments. i guarantee most of this stuff will be on there.</p>
