Hey guys,
For those of you who have had Frechet for Chem 3A, do you believe that going to his lectures are useful? I mean, he puts all his notes online, and he just writes everything he says onto his notes during class and reads them to us. We haven't really gone into anything really difficult yet, so I'm doing fine following along with the notes.

Do you guys think that studying Ochem using his online notes while reading the book will be enough, or should I sit through the 1.5 hour lecture to get a better understanding?

Thanks.

i personally like to sit through his lectures. i think it's helpful to sometimes see something step by step like when he does some sort of diagram or whatever. plus, the review is going to end eventually, which means the material will start to get harder. and what if he decides not to put his notes online one day? that's 1.5 hours worth of new material that you may never get.

GO ... TO ... LECTURE!!!!!!!!!!!

He puts his notes online only if attendance is high. If it gets too low he will not do it. He already warned my class that he was probably not going to put up today's lecture if people still don't show up.

^
he did it to my class too. 8am?

no wonder, i was at the 2:00 lecture and the place was packed.

8 am! Haha. I mean it's really no fun getting up that early. But it's whatever. Yellow screen? lmao

hahaha yellow screen. he makes the class entertaining and worth staying awake in.

lol yellow screen.
