Hey!

I was wondering if people from the Chem 3A waitlist get in. I'm already in Chem 3AL, but I waited for phase 2 for the lecture, and the class & waitlist were actually full. I just got onto the waitlist (so like position 74). Do they usually just let everyone in?

Thanks!

because the lab is considered a seperate class, your enrollment in 3al have no effect on ur lecture enrollment. i don’t think it was a good idea to phase 2 lecture since if you dont get into the lecture, u can’t take the lab. you might need to wait for people to drop out. good thing chem3a have a early drop deadline so you will know for sure if you can get in by the end of first 2 weeks.

It’s a manual waitlist so I suppose you could try begging…

Darn. Okay thanks. I was thinking since 3al fills up faster, it would be better to sign up for that first. :/

I thought that they’d open up more spots, since it’s only a lecture. Has this never been done in the past?

Maybe, maybe not. I phased I both 3 and 3al. Got into 3al by some trickery (someone dropped from the no-waitlist section and I grabbed it). I was number 57 on the waitlist for 3 when I signed up, and I just got into the class today.

I think there’s quite a lot of movement though. After all the class is 500+ people, and they’ll get dropped if they don’t attend…
