so it turns out i will not be getting credit for chemistry at my school since i didn't take the final tests. it won't be on my record either. what is an online distance education course that's semi-easy? i am concentrating on math and spanish now, so i won't have much time for chem. what a course that you can do at your own pace and isn't really hard? i don't even want AP level.. just like, standard high school.. just so that i have chem down (already did bio and am doing physics next year).

Johns Hopkins offers Honors Chemistry through DE:

It is individually paced.

that's gonna take me longer than 2 months!

any easier ones? i know i'm being a wuss, i just have sooo much more to do.

Oh, no. They have fancy names for rather basic concepts. :D I assure you that if you stay on task with your assignments, you'll definitely be able to finish within 2 months.

i don't have psat scores.. ugh, so that's not an option.

any others?

Do you have SAT scores? In my case, they accepted my SSAT scores. I think they'd be willing to make an exception.

no sat scores.. but yes, i have ssat scores. but.. i thought that after 6 months the scores become void? and the don't officially send them out anymore? i would be a month late in that case

As far as I can see, the only prerequisite is completion of Algebra I. You should be set to take this class.

it says for admissions, 9-12 graders need psat scores

Ah. How about this: http://www.apexlearning.com/Catalog/CourseOutlines/chemistry_06.htm.

It seems that most distance education classes require some form of recent standardized testing. However, if you were willing to e-mail them about your situation [that's what I did because I didn't have up-to-date SAT scores], they might make an exception for you.

Blairt- Do you have your standardized tests from 8th grade? The regular CATs? Those might work if they are high enough.
