which schools have the best chem eng and astrophysics programs?

Most institutes of technology, naturally.

Aerospace: MIT, Georgia Inst. of Tech., Uni. of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Purdue, Stanford

Chem: MIT, California-Berkeley, Univ. of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison, Stanford

If you don't think you can get into these schools, Rochester Institute of Technology and Cal Poly are good in aerospace, and Rose-Hulman Inst. of Tech and Bucknell have good chem.

Check out the Engineering Major thread, theres lots of info on both in there so just try a search. Basically any top 30 engineering schools will get you a great education, its just a matter of differences between each school's specifics (campus life, curriculum, location, price, activities, ect)
