I need some advice..
My major is chemical Engineering and I will graduate in three year; however, If I change my major to chemistry, I can graduate a year earlier.

Since I am planning to get a MBA degree from a top business school, is my undergraduate degree really matter? I am aware that Chemical Engineering degree is harder to obtain and provide broader jobs than chemistry degree (BS), but I think Chemistry+MBA is pretty much the same with chemical engineering+MBA in term of salary and job prospects, is that right?

Work experience is the most important thing. First and foremost you should be considering what your job prospects our out of college. If Chemical Engineering can land you a better job (And I believe it can) go with it because it will help you get into business school.

Also, there is a chance that you won't need an MBA at all. I know a lot of chemical engineers that make 6 figures. One of them sells chemicals. Another was making 6 figures by working every other month in South America and returning to the US for a month of vacation (6 months of vacation a year). This schedule is typical of someone that is out on an oil rig, but he wasn't out on a rig. He was on shore and was partying every night in the city.

BTW, don't be in such a rush to get your MBA. One extra year isn't going to kill you.
