ChemE Student on Academic Suspension for the 2nd Time: Finish or Start Over?

Oh, I didn’t get to include this in my last post, but I sincerely appreciate everyone’s responses that you all have provided to me so far. I understand that my inputs may have been hard to read, or even unclear, but I truly do seek to reform myself in any way possible so that I can contribute to the world and be responsible and honest with my life. I’m scheduled to meet with my school psychologist tomorrow morning, but would appreciate any thoughts as to what I should firstly discuss in our upcoming meeting?

@HailHavoc You spiraled. It started with unhealthy life choices. You were unable to keep up with classes. You continued forward without a knowledge foundation and then you got desperate. It probably felt like drowning. You had the best intentions and plans but you just kept slipping. You just need an exit strategy IMO. Did the Dean give you an exit strategy?

@gearmom said it well. You are a good person who simply got overwhelmed and desperate. Maybe talk to the psychologist first about how overwhelming this situation is feeling to you. When you feel well enough, talk to the Dean about what has happened and what your options are moving forward.
