As a chemical engineer major how important is it to take Liner Algebra, especially if one would want to pursue nanotechnology or anything in the electrical engineering route.

Linear algebra is a fairly basic to all engineering fields, so most schools will require you to take it.

if ur gonna be working with code in any sorta way, then it's absolutely crucial to know linear

I plan to go into microelectronics, microfluids, or nanotech and I think the Texas A&M curriculum does not require Linear Algebra unless you are a math minor.

San Jose State also does not require Linear algebra for chemE major.

Where I went to school, it was important. I remember using Kramer's rule to solve systems of equations.

They may not require the course under the math dept., but you certainly will pick it up going through the chemE curriculum.
