I got accepted to both Queen's and McGill for Chemical Engineering and I would like to know which one of the two has a better program?

I say Queen’s. They’re pretty well known for their engineering. McGill only if it’s a huge deal to legally drink one year earlier (there’ll be a lot of drinking at Queens that first year anyways).

Both programs are quite good. Do you know that chemical companies have closed a huge numbers of plants in Canada in the last 10 years? The chemical and related industries are in deep and permanent decline in Canada.

My advice - stay as far from chemical engineering as you possibly can. Either take another branch or better still, take accounting and finance and make far more money than you ever will doing chemical engineering.

ya but the only reason I am doing Chemical Engineering is so I could go into Environment, and it is the only thing that suits me in any engineering branch.

Then take civil engineering. Chemical engineering and environmental work is very very limited. Much more choice of employment with civil engineering.

I’ve thought about Civil before but I didn’t really like what the course offers and I find it quite boring but anyways I am planning on doing Environmental Engineering for my masters, and what I want to know is which university has like a better environmental background?
