Chemical engineering - Texas A&M vs Univeristy of Alabama

I’m currently a senior and I’ve pretty much narrowed down my school selection between these 2 schools.I know that A&M is the better school for chemical engineering but I can go to U of Alabama for ~8,500(full tuition + 2,500) a year versus 20,000 at A&M. I liked both schools a lot and thought that both of their facilities and education were top notch when I visited.

My question is if it’s worth the extra $ to go to A&M over Alabama? Will it make a large difference when I graduate and try to get into grad school or get a job?

Thanks

ChE at Texas A&M is great but how do you know that Alabama won’t be the best choice for you?

The ChemE grads from Alabama get very high paying jobs upon graduation. My son was a ChemE major at Bama, and his classmates walked into $85k per year jobs.
