My DD was admitted and is visiting Berkeley and made an appointment with a college of chemistry prof to ask some questions ( no response received from chemE dept). Prof was disappointing to say the least. He recommended that she stay close to home and attend UCLA which according to him has a neat identical program! She had a list of questions but was discouraged from his responses. In contrast, she went to UCLA engineering day and they wined and dined her to give her info and get her to sir. What are everyone’s thoughts about the two programs and does anyone have specific experience with either?
Obviously, UCLA is her best path
