Hi!
I am a senior and Im trying to figure out where to apply to for chemical engineering undergrad. But, the problem is that I can't apply anywhere past the East Coast. I've come up with a list but I can't tell whether the places I'm applying to are any good for chemical engineering or not (the ratings aren't really helping either). Help?

MIT, MA
Columbia, NY
Northeastern, MA
Carnegie Mellon, PA
NYU
Princeton, NJ
Drexel, PA
Penn State, PA
Lehigh, PA
John Hopkins, MD
Rochester, NY

I'm not too sure if schools like Drexel, Northeastern and John Hopkins are good for chemical engineering since I haven't really heard anything about them.
Any help is appreciated!

Are you instate for PennSt? If not, what state are you in?

What is the mile radius (or driving hours away) from your home that you can apply to? Are you trying to stay in the NE quadrant of the country…such as…no further south than Maryland and no further east than Pennsylvania?

Can you afford these schools? Have your parents said how much they’ll pay each year? If you don’t know, ask them.

What is your financial safety school? (that’s the school that you know for sure all costs are covered.)

If money isn’t an issue, then great. But, if it is, then consider taking NYU off your list because it gives lousy aid. And, if you’re not instate for Penn St, take that off as well.

SAT II:
chem-740
math- just did it today so hopefully above a 750 :S

ACT:
next week

GPA:
4.0 unweighted

I am an international student so i cant apply instate for any of em. and yeah, im trying to stay in the NE side since my family isnt too comfortable sending me far away from New Jersey (I have a few relatives there).
