So I’m an international student who has been studying in the US for 3years and I’m now a senior in high school. I plan on majoring chemical engineering but the thing is I am not sure about my college selection. My highest SAT score is 1420 and super score would be 1450. My GPA is 4.14 (I took all honors courses that my school offers including chemistry, math, English, and AP courses including composition, history) and I rank number one in my class. For early action, I applied to UNiversity of Minnesota Twin Cities and University of Wisconsin Madison. I got accepted to Minnesota and still waiting for UW decision. There are two questions I would like to ask:
-Should I settle for Minnesota or UW or aim for higher school for regular decision? Because I know that Minnesota and UW is pretty big in chemical engineering and my score is not good to reach for a higher school.
-Let’s say I got accepted to both school. Which school should I choose ? (My pros for UW would be the environment because I can imagine myself being there after a thorough research of the school, my pros for Minnesota would be its cost and the possibility of me getting a merit scholarship but I only know if I get it or not when I accepted to go there)
Thanks in advance ! And I’m sorry if my English was not clear or the information I gave is not adequate. Ask me if there is confusion. Anyway, I appreciate any help
Minnesota weeds out less aggressively than Wisconsin does. At Minnesota, a 3.2 technical college GPA assures you entry into the chemical engineering major (and some may get in with lower GPAs), while at Wisconsin, you need at least a 3.5 technical and 3.0 overall.

Not sure it that really exists.
Also, for Madison, look here https://registrar.wisc.edu/grade-reports/ for grade distribution reports. About 40% of the students in Chem 104 get an A (4.0) or an AB (3.5). A 3.5 in college is not the same as a 3.5 in HS.
