Are there any Christian colleges that offer Chemical Engineering, preferably on the east coast (but please post any leads you can).

As far as I know, there are only two schools that are both (a) in the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities, and (b) offer some form of chemical engineering program:

(1) Calvin College (in Minnesota) has an ABET-accredited “General Engineering” BS program, with a concentration in chemical engineering.

This degree program is probably a bit different from most ChemE programs, since it is officially accredited as a “general engineering” program, rather than as a “chemical engineering” program specifically. Relative to most other programs, it probably offers broader coverage of other engineering disciplines, with less focus on ChemE specifically. Nonetheless, the program is still ABET accredited, and as such will be respected by employers, grad schools, state licensing boards, etc.

(2) Geneva College (in Pennsylvania) has a non-ABET “Chemical Engineering” BS program, run in conjunction with the Chemistry Dept.

This is an unusual arrangement, and I don’t know how successful it is. The lack of ABET accreditation might concern some employers, and might not meet the admissions criteria of some grad schools or the licensing criteria of some states.

I don’t know if you would consider a Catholic school, but if so, your options would be probably be much wider.

You might want to check with Grove City College. They used to have a chemical engineering major, and I have heard that they are reintroducing the major.

The ABET accreditation is very important to us. Thank you all for your suggestions. He is in the 11th grade and has a lot of time.
