Ive read a lot about this, and it seems you limit yourself with a materials science degree as opposed to chemical engineering. However, I think that for financial reasons I will be attending Ohio State in the honors program this fall. I know rankings arent everything, but OSU has a 13 in the country ranked materials engineering program, and their chemical is unranked. Do I stick with chemical or switch to materials?

13 is not such a big deal that you should change to it and give up what you really want to do. If it was #1 then maybe.

Yeah.Ohio state-chem E- honors program.Definitely.
