Chemistry and premed at barnard?

<p>I plan on majoring in chemistry and possibly going premed. I know I will be able to take classes at Columbia but i would rather take them at barnard where i will have smaller classes and more help available. do you find that the chemistry teachers there are good in general and is there a lot of selection for classes to take? also can you take engineering classes at columbia because i am considering doing that if i do not stay interested in going premed?</p>

<p>so basically overall how do you feel about the chem department?

<p>The premed Chem classes are not that small at Barnard either. If you take the 2000 series Physics classes the size is in the 30s. The Barnard classes may actually be a little more difficult.</p>
