Chemistry/Communications Major?

I've been really set on majoring in Communications most of my high school life because I really want to get into Public Relations or Journalism possibly after I graduate college. Kinda also decided on majoring in film as it is something I'm interested in learning about and it also really complements a major in Comms.

However recently, (I'm a senior in HS now due to graduate in Nov) I've started to develop a real interest for Chemistry. I mean I've always liked studying the subject although I wasn't fond of the other sciences. It's not my best subject but I really enjoy it. (In my defense, i take IB HL Chemistry which is pretty demanding...)

Now I'm stuck in a dilemma on whether I should continue to apply for a major in Comms (which doesn't have that many job prospects/ won't really provide much financial stability) or major in chemistry and pursue a minor in communications? I wouldn't know what I want to do with a chemistry major yet though... Is a chemistry minor useful in any way?

Which do you think is better? I study in a country where you have to decide your major when you apply...
1. Major in Chem, minor in Comms
2. Major in Comms, minor in Film
3. Major in Comms, minor in Chem
4. Double Major in Chem and Comms

Oh sorry, in my first paragraph I mean major in Comms and minor in film.

You say you are worried about lower job prospects as a communications major, but you assume chemistry would help? BS degrees in chemistry are near useless. If you want to use chemistry, you should do a chemical engineering degree - but engineering is not for everyone.

True… But as compared to communications, how would a BS in chemistry fair?
