Hi guys. For most of the schools, they require two semesters of chemistry for an engineering major.

I took the first semester of chemistry at a four-year college and the second semester at a community college.

Some of the schools articulation says you need the second semester and the first semester combined to articulate to one class.

Has anyone gotten accepted into UCLA or any other UCs with a half/half completion of a series at two different colleges? (assuming it isn't the same district of colleges)

Yes, granted I did it at two different CCs, not a four year and a CC. What ended up happening in my case was that admissions accepted it as satisfying the pre-req, but when they went over my transcripts after I SIRed I wasn’t initially awarded credit for the lab. Basically, I just petitioned and sent over a copy of the two course syllabi to show they covered all the topics required for articulation. As long as you didn’t switch from the quarter system to semester system you should be okay, even if you have to petition like I did. General Chemistry is pretty universal at most college/universities in California and covers mostly the same topics.

Does it have to be the course syllabi at that time or can it be the one right now?

The original is probably best, but either should work. I used a more recent one because I didn’t save the copy from when I took the course. That I couldn’t get in contact with one of the professors to send me the electronic copy.

Oh ok. Thanks that’s good to hear. Need to prepare myself for transferring since I took courses at a 4-year and four 2-year colleges.
