<p>Yes Sunshine, you need to take physics as a chem major. At my school, they push you to take University Physics, which is a calculus based Physics. Also Calculus up to at least III. Other courses you need to take is Organic and Inorganic chem, Physical Chem., Analytical Chem, Bio chem and a couple of Graduate courses for ACS certification. Also some school’s have different specializations you can choose from, such as Chemical Biology, Chemical Physics, Marine Chemistry, Geochemistry, etc. in which you would have to take classes for whatever you choose to specialize in.</p>
