Chemistry Teachers SUCK

My Chemistry teacher is eerily like Sarah Palin.

There's a chem teacher at my school that kind of looks like Sarah Palin, but I haven't heard her talk.

My AP chem teacher has taught us addition and subtraction for the past month(s), yet whenever we stop to ask him an important, conceptual question, he says, "We don't have time for that. We're already behind." Or, alternatively, sometimes he says, "You're supposed to know that already," and acts like someone just died because you didn't know something he never taught you.

Now we're learning multiplication, division, and exponents! =D

Lol. He stinks and should be fired, but there's some kind of tenure thing going on. (How did he last long enough to get tenure?!)

Looove my chem teacher. I think everyone who has him does.
He's amazing! science was never my fav subject but this year..it's one of my favorite classes! AND I managed an A..no idea how that happened.

Makes me want to retake AP Chem next year just to get him again..hahah

I love my Chem teacher, He's really cool and he's also going to let us light a snowman on fire with Butane

does anybody feell like they would never be able to understand chem without a tutor

chem is okay but AP Chem isnt... i can handle AP chem but not honors Math. I officially suck!

I did well in honors chem, but my teacher was very nasty. She is 40, never been married, OCD, and bipolar.

My chem teacher is making my passion of science ebb away slowly.
He uses powerpoint notes from various universities/different books and then tests us. That's all. He only does examples on the board when I ask him like 10 times. It sucks.

does anybody feell like they would never be able to understand chem without a tutor

^ I get through it using my handy AP prep books..haha lifesaver.

Mine is not so great of a person (at least what we see in class), but she's a great teacher, go figure

my chem teacher is terrible. I had him for honors chem and now for ap. He wastes so much time during class. I'm considering bringing a timer to class just to record the amount of time he spends going off track. It's a good thing that I actually like chemistry.

i realyrealyrealyrealy want to find a way to fire my chem teacher

Chemistry is either a weeding out class. I'll be honest: everyone who has taken the class and said the teacher/class sucked didn't understand the material. They took it out on everything but themselves. I personally understood all of it, and it was amazing. It being the class and the teacher. Put in the effort to know what's up; don't memorize.

I took Honors and AP... had an A+ in both and a 5 on the exam.

is anyone here from the la unified school district?

Chem as a class was fun and I felt like I learned everything I was supposed to, but looking at some sample questions from the SAT subject test made me realize I wasn't prepared for that at all, because we didn't go over anything in-depth.

My teacher also had a bit of a hygiene issue and I hated his handwriting. Sometimes we would be doing a worksheet or something, or taking a quiz/test and he'd just fall asleep in his chair.
