Chemistry use of appendixes

Hi CC,

i have a stupid question. Are we allowed to use the appendixes in the SAT chem? Or do we need to memorize bond dissociation energies or standard electrode potentials etc.?
That seems rather stupid to me, but it is stated that a periodic table is the only thing allowed in the actual test…
Any help from people who have already taken the test would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I think the only thing you are allowed to use is the periodic table… That’s one of the reasons I feel so unprepared for this test. Our chem teacher let us use tons of reference sheets on all of our tests and quizzes last year and I always did well, but now I suddenly need to memorize everything that would be on those sheets

@Kat2016 But i’ve taken practice test that specifically say that one can look up the required information in these appendixes. Or maybe there won’t be any question requiring that in the real test.
