Chemistry vs ChemE

What are some major differences between just regular Chemistry and then Chemical Engineering? Is ChemE more of an application of the Chemistry?

Scroll to the bottom of this page.

You’re welcome.

The easiest way to find the answer for this is using Yahoo Answers. There’re plenty of exact same questions.

A Chemist would be concerned with the reaction and mechanism of a chemical process, for example synthesizing Ammonia under different conditions.

A ChemE would be concerned with how to effectively product a product on a large scale, safely and efficiently–for example how to design a plant to pump out millions of cubic feet of Ammonia.

Anyone knows, if a ChemE do more than mass produce the Ammonia and synthesize Ammonia reaction like the chemist?

For example, can a ChemE create a chemical reaction that gives superconductive properties to solar panels and make batches for mass production?
