Hey guys. I am trying to decide whether I want to pursue Chemistry or Economics as a major. I will be a freshman next year, and I currently intend on going to medical school after graduating. However, I am quite interested in Economics/Econometrics and feel that the major better suits my basic interests than does Chemistry/Biology but am more inclined to pursue the latter because of its more direct relation to a career as a doctor. Is there any way for me to help figure out which field is more suited for me, and would I still be able to attend a great medical school like UCLA or Northwestern if I majored in Economics but still took the required pre-med courses?

Thanks
