With a Masters Degree in chemistry, what types of jobs would a chemist do? Like what are some places that they could be hired at? Also, is chemistry a good major (i.e. good salary, plenty of jobs available, etc.)

I remember I went on a "field Trip" thing to a water-pump company type of thing. Basically the job of the company was to provide a blueprint of water-pipes and stuff to new buildings, and one of the speakers was a sophomore in college and was doing an internship at this place and I remember she said "I fell in love with chemistry in high school and continued with chemistry in college, but then realized theres nothing to do with chemistry other then teach it!"

I dont know if that helps, but I know that she was working in that water-pipe-company place and having a great time!

Ah that's not good and that's the opposite of what I've heard haha; thank you! That gives me something to think about.

lol, that's a depressing news. I'm a potential biochemistry major, but I wonder if that makes any difference...

Chemists can do so many things that they will always be in demand for employment.

You really should go directly for a Ph.D. programs are fully funded with 25K stipends. Do research as an undergrad to see if grad school is for you.

wc21

you can be hired by private firms, pharmaceutical companies, in labs i think
