<p>I was wondering whether Chess would be considered STEM. I have many ec's already in STEM (science olympiad, math league, AIME, biomed club). </p>
<p>I am quite adept at chess, ranking in the top 40 for 17 yr olds, captain of my chess team for the last three years, one of which they won a state championship.</p>
<p>Furthermore, I am ranked higher than most of the players at the college's chess clubs/teams. Would this aid in my entrance? (I'm only looking at top undergraduate programs)</p>
<p>I have very good grades also, if this would help answer the question.</p>

AP: I got 5's on my AP tests which were Physics B (9th), Calc BC (10th), Stats (10th), US History (11th), Chemistry (11th), Psychology (11th), English Language (11th), Environmental Science (11th).</p>
<p>I'm taking AP Biology, AP Economics, Linear Analysis, English Literature, and the rest are non AP graduation requirements.</p>
<p>I would be studying premed, preferably Biology. </p>
<p>I'm thinking about top undergraduate programs.</p>
