Way before I submitted my application, I created an account on the UChicago Admissions webpage. After I submitted my application, I never got an email from the Admissions Dept assigning me an account (like most colleges do). So does UChicago just merge the two accounts? And if so, how do they know that the merged the right ones?

Yeah I was confused about this at first too because I wanted to schedule an interview but I never got the email. But when you first created an account, they created a file for you. When you submitted an application, they simply put your application into that file; they don’t create a new account and then “merge” them.

At least, that’s what I’m assuming.

Yeah, I created an account ages ago, and when I submitted my CommonApp part, I was able to log in and it showed who my admission counselor was and allowed me to request an interview. So just log into your account normally.

Ah got it. I was just wondering because on the account I currently have (the one I created ages ago) there is no way to check which admissions documents they have received (Common App, Supplement, ACT/SAT, Recs, etc).

I wish they let us know if they got our SAT/ACT and things on time too. It makes me nervous to think perhaps my teacher her rec won’t send it in on time… etc.

I dont see how to request an interview in my account, though. do u guys know how to do that?
