LOL, I just had a dream last night where my regional counselor sent me an in-depth analysis of why my application sucked. In the dream, she also accidentally forwarded a conversation with another counselor about how my application epitomizes how this generation of people is dehumanized…</p>

<p>I just got an email from UChicago, saying that they want me to continue to remain on their extended wait-list for the next few weeks. In about 5 days, $26,000 has to be paid to the school I’m currently enrolled in. Is anyone else having the same problem? Do you know whether it’s possible to ask the deposit school to extend the deadline for me? I REALLY want to go to UChicago, but this will be a complete deal breaker, even if I’m ever accepted. :(</p>

<p>They sent out letters a couple of days ago.</p>

<p>I’ve noticed in multiple letters that they always say that they take in “40” transfer students in the fall though. Not “approximately 40” or “around 40” but just “40”.
In the past years they’ve accepted around 80-100 IIRC, so have they changed something? o-o</p>

<p>or do they mean the students that actually matriculate?</p>

<p>Is that letter a closure of the WL? Based on NYT, they admitted 71 from WL, perhaps only 40 matriculated? Now the Dorm assignments have been published, it is less likely they will take in more.</p>
