Is anyone familiar with these engineering programs? I know UCSB SCU have decent programs, but what are their philosophies like (Cal Poly is learn by doing, etc.). I've heard Berkeley is very theoretical.
Chico's program I've never heard of, but people say positive things about it.

Basically my options are:
Chico w/ Honors
SCU
UCSB
UCSC / UCB dual degree (I'd go to Santa Cruz and get an Econ major in 3 years and then transfer to Berkeley to get a Mech Eng degree in two)

Every place has their pros and cons, but I just want to make sure that wherever I go I get a solid engineering education.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
