Do the candidates have more chance to get accepted if they have siblings studying at Duke or their parents work for Duke?

Yes, but not necessarily a substantially greater acceptance opportunity. I suggest search CC for “Duke legacy,” where you’ll find this subject repeatedly discussed (during the last two or three years) in considerable detail. After doing so, please post any questions that remain.

Thanks TopTier! I went through the discussion about “Duke Legacy”, which helps a lot. Can Duke employees count as “Duke Legacy”? Do their children have better chance if they apply for ED?

Quite possibly – depending on the employee’s reputation, longevity, network, position, and more – there’s an even stronger potential connection, certainly stronger than with the majority of “not too involved, not too generous, not to active” alums (in my opinion).
