not much different at all from cornell. have fun next week!

is frat rushing similar?

That is pretty crazy, what year is this video from. I know they mention looking through facebook profiles so it must be fairly recent…

Nice

The main girl is hot with a side of *****yness.

It has a lot less to do with how cute you are. It’s also been taking place unofficially for a while now, so by virtue of time it’s less superficial.

But is anyone really surprised by this? How else could you keep track of 600 girls other than by rating them numerically. And any judgment that is made over a 5min conversation will be somewhat superficial by nature.

“Rushed” has received a lot of criticism from Northwestern. Apparently the filmmaker didn’t portray the rush accurately…

Yea, I have heard that as well. However, there is nothing about what is portrayed or that he says that seems inaccurate.

Not really mind-blowing. The Greek system is shallow?! No way!

Ya I know lol. That actually seemed much nicer than what I thought it would be like

brilliant, and yes greek system is shallow.

sorority life is HUUUGE at northwestern- it’s big here at cornell too, but not quite as much and i doubt many other schools have as huge a female greek scene (maybe not by the numbers, but by level of emphasis or importance) as northwestern. it’s almost to the tune of “if you’re not in one, you don’t exist.” i attended NU as a freshman and though i am a guy, there is this huge congregation of potential sorority girls on bid night in deering field that i saw with my own eyes. literally thousands gather. some guys go to watch the sad nature of the thing… 15-20% of the girls end up happy and brainwashed into thinking they’re more important than everyone else if they get one of the ‘good house(s)’ … while 80-85% weep all night for either being rejected or not being accepted by their favorite house. though hilarious, it’s the most pathetic thing i’ve ever witnessed.

I thought the chilling truth part would just be about how cold it is when the girls have to wake up every morning just to see each house. Man, it’s going to snow tomorrow in Ithaca, it’s going to be horrible walking from North over to West.

Not to mention the awesome cold front bringing the temps into the single digits for most of the week.

Enjoy your rush.

Please dress appropriately. Wear long underwear if you have it.

or no underwear

HEY EVERYONE RUSHING!

good luck today! i know the first day will be really nerve-racking and confusing, but really just

HAVE FUN

and

BE YOURSELF!!!
