I understand that they don't offer it today, but heard if there are at least four students interested in it, they would consider offering it. Is it that simple? Any current students / parents comment on this?

I know that they added Spanish in very recent years. So it is not entirely out of the question. Many parents nowadays want their kids to learn Chinese.

Even you find 4 people, it may not be the end of the solution. St Marks has been struggling for a couple years, not be able to find a qualified Chinese teacher, at least that is what we were told.

One thing I have seen some small schools did is to hire a tutor coming to the school, Commonwealth has a Chinese tutor, the school gives it the same language credit to the tutoring class.

St. Mark’s Chinese starts next year. The admissions officer that did the fair at my school was very eager on selling it and trying to find interested applicants.
