Hello all,

I have no chemistry background whatsoever and I was wondering if anyone has taken the online section of this intro course recently. I'm trying to get an idea of what i'm getting myself into. Luckily I do not need to take CHM 2045. Thanks for reading

Both classes are equally easy. CHM2045 is more interesting because its broad about many topics. CHM10XX is mostly on some history and development of chemistry. If you wanna learn chemistry in an easy class, its CHM2045 for sure.

I know you think i’m looking for the easy way out but i’m really not, I have to take this class and I was just seeing how other people did in it. No matter how bad it is i’m staying in it. Luckily i’m not that stupid and I would never take chem 1 (a weed out class) when I haven’t done anything pertaining to chemistry in the last 3 years. What a terrible recommendation. I really hope you were trolling.

Almost all freshmen took that class. It is extremely easy. Its a weed out, for freshmen, but as long as you do your work, it should be easy. I took both and found that they were just about equally the same difficulty. The “weed out-ness” is comparable even to HUM 2305. That class is also a weed out, but if you do the work, you’re fine.

On a second note, what is your major? Perhaps my recommendation is based that you’re onto some engineering or premed.

Nonetheless, you should Google both course IDs and find the syllabus and judge it from there. You should see that the content from my previous post is true.
