Choate, Peddie, Exeter?

Hello,

I would like to get everyones input on whether or not I can get in schools like Choate, Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, Peddie etc. etc. I'll just concisely list my accomplishments and ECs. (Am from Panama , Central America, not Florida.)

I am fluent in both English, and Spanish.

I practice Hap-Ki-Do, and am soon getting my blue belt.

I play American Football, and was elected to play in the all star team of Panama, but could not attend because of some family issues.

I have played soccer, this is one of my favorite sports, and i've played it for 7 years.

I have also played tennis, for about 5 years.

Once I turn 14 in May am planning to join the Cayuco team, this team does the ocean to ocean race, the name is pretty self explanatory.

I get 2-4 As each quarter.

(Im also vegetarian I thought I would throw that in, probably isn't very important, may be a hook)

I participate in the Math Olympiad

I need FA that may hurt my chances.

I know I may not have the best chances, but I would like to get everyones thoughts on whether or not I can get in either of these schools. (My top choices are Peddie, and Choate.) Thank you for all your time.

PS: Could you give me your percentile of my acceptnace chances, (Out of 100 of course.

Come on people please answer.

You have a fairly good chance of getting accepted. Schools love diversity, which you have obviously. You also know more than one language, which helps, and you have ECs that you’re good at and dedicated to. Do you do an instrument? You also need good grades and high SSAT scores, but if you achieve both you have a great chance of getting accepted.
As long as you have great essays, great recommendation forms, and an amazing interview I don’t see why you wouldn’t get accepted! You need the grades and SSAT scores though

On Peddie’s website and prospectus, they stated that they are seeking a diverse community. Due to that statement and the fact that you seem to excel at multiple sports, makes you a noticeable applicant. Besides, Peddie has an enormous endowment. (40% of students on financial aid.) Have you received good grades? There is much that factors into the whole application process, such as teacher recommendations, SSAT’s, your interview, and application, and much is undetermined. But, I think you have a great shot.

Thanks everyone yeah I would think I get good grades my lowest grade is a B, also I have been playing the piano for two years, thanks for your input.

If anyone has any other comments do tell please.

you seem to have a really good shot! just know that LOTS of highly qualified applicants don’t get accepted into prep schools. have you taken the ssats?

no not yet, am applying next year. Thanks everyone.

Anyone else??

I’m also attending Exeter’s summer session program.
