Choice of Major

Hello CC,
I’m applying to Duke RD and am not sure what to put as my intended major. On the Application portion, it asks you which academic program interests you (first choice) and goes all the way to a third choice. I want to major in neuroscience or psychology, but I am not sure which one yet. I want to do neuroscience, but I am worried that my math SAT score is too low. Should I put psychology as my first choice instead because of my score? I don’t want my major choice to be the reason I don’t get in.

Both psychology and neuroscience are pretty popular majors at Duke, so I don’t really think it’ll make a difference.

Put whatever your application reflects the most. Don’t worry about what is more popular or not
