I have been accepted for a full-time MBA by University of Edinburgh Management School and Warrick in U.K and it seems that both Universities are having a good solid program and wellknown reputation. Does anyone knows more information about that?

Ive heard Warwick mentioned more prominently with regard to business although Edinburgh has a more prestigious history+reputation as well as an infinitely more desirable location.

i don't know much about the Edinburgh management school but Warwick's is fantastic and internationally respected. also in terms of location, Warwick isn't bad, Leamington Spa is a pretty little English town.

Have you visited the campuses? Given the two schools are both reputable, I think you should chose the one you'd feel more comfortable living at- after all, you'll be there for awhile. I personally have only visited University of Edinburgh; I know next to nothing about what Warrick is like (or where it is). The University of Edinburgh itself is decent looking (the library isn't though) but it's not centrally located... it's all spread out. Edinburgh, in case you've never visited, is in a very pretty city and if a big city is for you, then I'd say go for it! There's lots to do, and the castle is awesome- it adds so much to the city. But if you could never live in a big city (like myself) you might be happier elsewhere.

This is kind of random, but do you want to live in the UK after your schooling? If you want to return to the US, then ignore this. But if you think you might want to stay in the UK, then definitely stick with Edinburgh. I know that Scotland has this new talent thing and any undergraduate of a university automatically gets a two year work permit to look for a job... I assume it would be the same with a MBA degree.

Be warned Warwick University isn't actually in Warwick, rather, confusingly, it is in Coventry, which isn't a fantastically pretty place. Edinburgh the town is absolutely gorgeous, but can be quite expensive. In terms of the universities i think Warwick is a bit overhyped. Edinburgh University itself is really pretty, really old and historical (it was founded in 1582). Edinburgh is definitely the more prestigious of the two anyway.

Warwick is over-rated and has done very well because it's been fashionable for the last 15 years or so. In the UK it's regarded as a good university, but even the fashionistas do not pretentd it's world class, and it does not have Edinburgh's fantastic history of achievement, nor is it regarded as being in the same league as Oxbridge LSE and Imperial.

I'd say that Warwick is better for Management and Business type stuff, but overall and definitely in terms of location Edinburgh wins hands down. The Warwick campus is nice, but there's not a lot to do off campus...Coventry really is a giant steaming turd on the face of the West Midlands, which is something of a toilet bowl to begin with.

imo warwick is currently at least as good if not better than edinburgh (but without the history). Especially for business, Id say warwick has the edge but see what you think.

Let's face it guys, Warwick is a good to average university which has been fashionable for a decade, but it hasn't got Edinburgh's clout, it hasn't got its history, and it certainly hasn't got its future.
