Choosing a major/transferring from cc

Long story short, I'm transferring from a cc and enrolling spring 2012 semester at university. I always thought I'd be a philosophy major as It's my passion but have taken a few accounting and business courses I've loved as well. So, I'm debating a major in Accounting w/a philosophy minor. Any thoughts? It seems the older I get(just turned 30), the more important a major that will lead to a career is. But maybe with my minor in philosophy, I can still have a part of that too.

Accounting is a good, practical major that should help you get a job after college. A philosophy minor would help you develop better critical thinking skills, which is a plus to many employers. Sounds like you have a good plan.
