I'm new to the boards, so, first off, Hello to everybody. :)

My question is: how do I go about choosing a topic for a philosophy paper? I've received good grades on the philosophy papers I've written in the past, but those papers were all under ten pages and I was always given very specific topics to write about. This time, I have to write a 15 page essay and choose my own topic. The topic I have in mind is Sartre's existentialism and how his atheistic philosophy makes ethics possible. I know this is too general, but I'm really stuck - I don't know how to make it more specific. I feel so overwhelmed. I keep thinking, "I don't know Sartre's entire philosophy... writing this paper is therefore impossible." Eek. stressing out What should I do??
