Choosing Housing at UCF!

Hi! My name is Emily and I am going to be a Freshman at UCF in the fall of 2017!! I am trying to choose where to live, but I don’t know much about the dorms. The ones that I was looking at was Neptune and Apollo (I am not including price as a decider)
Neptune was nice because you get your own room, but do you lose the college experience by not being in the same room as your roommate? Also, is Neptune too far away from everything or is the distance from the classes and food not an issue?
Apollo (the 4 person suite) seemed pretty nice, too. Is it better to have your own room like Neptune rather than a shared room like the ones in Apollo? The nice thing about Apollo is the shared living space…is that better than having your own room? Do you lose the “roommate experience?” The 4 person suite in Apollo also only has one bathroom for 4 people, Neptune has 2. Also, is Apollo closer to everything than Neptune or is it also too far from classes and food?

I guess my question is…which one is better?? Thanks!!

If cost isn’t a deciding factor, go for a private room. You’ll be glad you did! Classes are dispersed all over campus and since every semester is different, I wouldn’t use that as a final determining factor. There are 2 cafeterias on opposite sides and eateries at student union. Both my kids are in towers, neither has ever complained about distance to classes or food.
Be sure to check out the LLC associated with each dorm…it may help in your decision-making.
