Choosing Penn over Other Top Schools

<p>Penn's College is rock solid, certainly on par with any other undergraduate program, both in terms of resources and student quality and aptitude.</p>

<p>Still, I would say that the prestige from HYP has a draw that's unmatched.</p>

<p>What do you want to hear? The college has droves of students who turned down Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, U. Chicago, Duke. Wharton has droves who turned down Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, and even Harvard.</p>

<p>Penn is ranked in the top 10 undergraduate institutions in 3 different ranking systems, whether you go by selectivity or overall programs. It's a great effing school.</p>

<p>Yeah, it's a great effing school. People learn a lot and still have an immensely enjoyable college experience. It has more international students (in numbers and proportion) than any other Ivy, it is in a (real) American city, and yet it maintains a vibrant on-campus life. It's balls awesome.</p>
