Choral Music Ed decision help?

I'm a high school senior set on being a choral & music theory professor at a university. I understand I need some teaching experience to enter some grad programs, and in order to land that teaching job (i.e. K-12), I need a good undergrad college on my resume. It's competitive. I live in the northeast and I want to stay in the northeast, and I DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT WANT to go to a conservatory. I want to have the opportunity to take some electives in other subjects besides music ed and explore some of my liberal arts education. Conservatories don't really offer that. I've been thinking along the lines of Ithaca, Boston University, Carnegie Mellon, Fredonia, Oberlin, etc. - they're all good music schools with great liberal arts education. Which places should I really focus my attention on? Which liberal arts schools in the northeast have an amazing choral music ed program (as well as a reputation to match)? I'd also like to be in some vocal performance ensembles extracurricularly but I do not want to pursue vocal performance as a major. Any ideas? (Please don't base your answer on monetary costs - just assume that money is not an issue, and I'll be making that decision later) Thanks so much :)
