Chp

I wasn't invited to join, and I was wondering if it's hard to get into after your first quarter.

Honestly, I don't even know the criteria to get into it in the first place O_O (as in, was it pure grades and test scores?)

So, to those of you who know, how hard is it to get into CHP after your first quarter?

It’s fairly easy to join if you’re interested and have a 3.5+ gpa.

They will overlook your entire application. My peers didn’t have any issues joining.

Said above.

For the priority enrollment, do you get to register for all the classes early? In other words, do you basically get to pick whatever classes you want and be able to get in no problem?

You get to basically register right when the athletes do, or right after. Basically, CHP students cheat and get any class they want, even as a freshman :]. CHP is a truly extraordinary program!

Do all chp members have to take the humanities core classes?

You don’t get to choose ANY class you want. You just get to choose classes first, but if you don’t meet the major and school restrictions, then you can’t enroll in that class.
Also, if you’re trying to get into Management classes, priority enrollment means nothing. It’s first-come first serve for everyone.

Even if you can’t immediately enroll in a class due to some issue, you can typically resolve it and still enroll in the class before most other people can. Priority enrollment is a tremendous benefit.

CHP registers before athletes, but after the disabled students.

amigos,

From what I’ve heard from an engineer friend, engineers in CHP can opt out of the humanities core classes. Also, those who join late can avoid taking humanities core.
