Christmas 2012

Thought I'd start this so we can share what we're going to do tonight, tomorrow, what we're hoping for, and then we can share what we received. :)

Tonight my family will probably watch a Christmas movie (Christmas Vacation, Christmas Story, something along that line). Tomorrow, my little brother will come in my room and wake me up somewhere between 6-7 AM tell me I better get up. Then Christmas presents, and cooking Christmas dinner, pretty generic.

I'm hoping for some new books, gift cards, not too much other than that.

In the morning my mother and I will have to go pick up my old senile uncle and bring him out to the house for dinner. He’ll tell stupid jokes on the car ride home, and he will have taken something from his house and wrapped it up to give to us. My mother will put a fuzzy Christmas blanket on the table because we don’t have an appropriately festive tablecloth. She’ll cook something she got at the grocery store the other day, and she’ll make me play Angel Eyes on the piano because right now that’s the only thing I can play with any competence. We’ll open our gifts and then after awhile we’ll take my uncle home I’ll stop at the post office to mail belated Christmas cards and complain about how none of the fast food places are open because French fries on Christmas sounds nice.

Wellllll I just got back from Christmas Eve service and it was fun as always. Once we get back to our neighborhood we’re going to drive around to see which houses won the contest. I’m going to get in my jammies, do some foolery that me and my sis usually do, and go to sleep in my oh-so-cozy bed. Of course when I wake up my family will do the run of the mill Christmas present opening. Then I’ll nom I’m my Mom’s rice porridge, get dressed in my Christmas outfit, and prepare for Christmas dinner which could take hours. And then party for the rest of the night which will end with roasting marshmallows and making s’mores on the firepit.

Serious nommage will ensue the entire day.
