Chspe?

I'm Alex. I'm 16 and a junior in high school. I don't want to finish high school and do my senior year. So I was wondering if taking the CHSPE would still look good on a college application if I was trying to go to a State school in CA. I would probably spend my 'senior' year by taking classes at the community college here then try to transfer to a state school. Would that work out?

Check on that. It is difficult to transfer without 60 units from a cc.

So if I did my ‘Senior’ year and another year at a CC, would that give me 60 units?

If you go full time. Your plan is fine. I know kids who have done this (from homeschooling) You will hear people go on and on about how you will miss your prom, and how important senior year is, blah blah, so be ready for those comments.

If you do well in you CC it will be easy to transfer to a good state school, and your high school transcripts are immaterial at that point. And, you will not need SATs, etc. But, my info might be old. Look up how to transfer to the UC or Cal State system. They have clear info.

Okay, thank you.
